Country Durham PCT Renal profile 2010
To provide information and analyses that will enable Primary Care Trust (PCT) commissioners and other stakeholders, such as clinicians, to assess levels of kidney care need and current service levels in order to inform planning. This will enable them to drive up the quality and productivity of services provided by Primary Care for those with Chronic Kidney Disease. NHS Kidney Care is working with East Midlands Public Health Observatory (EMPHO) on several projects that involve collating and presenting kidney information from a number of data sources. The PCT profiles project has resulted in the creation of a six-page profile for each of the 152 Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) in England, which incorporate routinely available information on the need for and delivery of kidney care. They compliment those produced by Yorkshire and Humber Public Health Observatory for diabetes.
