Darlington Local Information System (LIS): An interactive map of local need in Darlington by LSOA

Darlington is a unitary Council and is responsible for delivering a range of local government services for local people. The Council has recognised the importance of having a clear understanding of local need in relation to education, housing, transport, crime, health or other services.

The Council was granted funding by the Local Government Association under the Customer Led Transformation Fund, for a project focusing on families with multiple needs. The intention was to collate a range of data, thereby facilitating prevention activities and early intervention in families.

This interactive map helps:-

The data be available in an easy-to-use format to a wide range of users from partner organisations
Analysts to be able to make quick comparison between data sets covering many different service areas
To have one source for the data ensuring consistency throughout the Borough
