Atlas on Mortality in the European Union
The Atlas on Mortality in the European Union describes the situation regarding mortality in the Member States of the European Union. The atlas includes 2002-2004 mortality data from National Statistical Authorities in the 27 Member States of the European Union plus Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Croatia, broken down by age and gender, by main causes of death and by European region. Also, differences in risk factors as a potential basis for differences of mortality profiles are described.

Excess Winter Deaths Atlas
The Excess Winter Deaths Atlas for England includes a series of interactive map and chart display options and contains for each Local Authority in England: Excess Winter Deaths data presented as rolling 3 year trends for the years 1990 to 2009 for all ages Excess Winter Deaths data analysed by selected age groups (under 65s, 65-84, 85+) pooled for 7 years (2002-2009) Excess Winter Deaths data analysed for selected disease conditions pooled for 7 years. Selected disease conditions include Circulatory, Coronary Heart Disease (CHD), Stroke, Respiratory, Influenza and Pneumonia and Chronic Lower Respiratory Diseases Data by single year are also available to download. The Excess Winter Deaths Atlas for England is accompanied by a User Guide which includes a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and definitions to help to answer your questions. A recommended method for obtaining Excess Winter Deaths and confidence intervals is provided.
