Regional study finds diabetic mothers have high risk of giving birth to children with congenital abnormality
A regional study published in Diabetologia by Dr Ruth Bell and colleagues at Newcastle University has found that women with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes are over three times as likely to have a baby with a major congenital anomaly as mothers without diabetes.
