A new publication by NEPHO on the use of secondary care for neurological conditions describes the impact that Long Term Neurological Conditions (LTNC) have in the North East. The paper idenitifies around 15,000 admissions to hospital in the North East were primarily attributed to LTNC. The paper also describes the variation in admission rates within areas in the North East, with more deprived areas having a higher number of emergency admissions.
