Developing a vision for the role of Trading Standards in delivering improved hea

This report describes the outcomes from a workshop run by the Health Development Agency, the Public Health Observatory and the North East Trading Standards Association to support the Trading Standards profession to develop a strategic vision for its contribution to health development and well-being. Participants in the workshop included Trading Standards professionals, public health strategists and public health practitioners. The report summarises their views on the strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats to the Trading Standards role in public health, as well as outlining the vision for future working.
