North East PHO Strategy Event - 27th January 2005

Following the publication, during 2004, of Securing Good Health for the Whole Population and Choosing Health - Making Healthier Choices Easier the importance of public health intelligence is high profile.  Since Public Health Observatories, both separately and collectively, it was decided to consult again with the major stakeholders in the North East PHO.  A strategy event was arranged for 27 January 2005, with the aims to:

• Provide key stakeholders with early thoughts about the possible implications of the White Paper for Public Health Observatories in general, and the North East PHO in particular; and

• To seek the views of stakeholders about preferred roles and priorities for development for the North East PHO.
