Occasional Paper 44 - Count-Me-In Census of Inmates of the Prison Service October 2009: Wales
The censuses provide information to help health services move towards achieving Delivering Race Equality in Mental Health Care (DRE)2 and The Race Equality Action Plan for Adult Mental Health Services in Wales.
Here we describe the first exercise to undertake a similar census of people accessing mental health care while in prison. The findings presented here are for Wales only, a combined report for England and Wales has also been produced.
