Northern Survey of Twin and Multiple Pregnancy - NorSTAMP
Twins and higher order multiples have become much more common in recent years. The survey collects data to help to improve the outcome of twins and higher multiples in the region, as well as to provide information for people doing research related to the health of twins.

Consent required from mother? Yes.
Type of data collected: Midwifes/ultrasonographers notify NorSTAMP when twin (or higher) pregnancy diagnosed. Basic information of mother, babies and pregnancy details collected after delivery. Click here to see copy of survey form.

Current work:
- Regional standards of care for mulitple pregnancies - using the expertiise of the NorSTAMP professional community to produce evidence-based DRAFT standards of care for women pregnant with twins and higher multiples.
- Growth discrepancy follow up study - looking at neurological development in twin pregnancies where there was a large birthweight difference in twins. The protocol is available here.
